Tokenomics

Comprehensive overview of our token ecosystem and economic models

KMT - Native Utility Token
Platform-level utility token for blockchain operations (Symbol: KMT)

Overview

KYMTC Credits are the native utility units of the KYMTC blockchain, designed to enable platform-level operations, internal accounting, and transaction execution across the KYMTC ecosystem. They function as a non-sovereign, platform-scoped utility asset, optimized for controlled environments and enterprise-grade applications.

KYMTC Credits are not intended as a medium of exchange outside the KYMTC ecosystem, nor as a general purpose settlement asset. Their design prioritizes operational stability, scalability, and predictable behavior over market-driven price discovery.

Blockchain Architecture

Base Framework

Substrate (Polkadot SDK) provides the foundation for our blockchain infrastructure, enabling modular development and seamless integration with the Polkadot ecosystem.

Consensus Model

Aura (Proof of Authority) + GRANDPA (finality gadget) ensures deterministic finality and high throughput for enterprise applications.

Validator Set

Permissioned validators operated by KYMTC and approved institutional or equity partners, ensuring network integrity and compliance.

Network Type

Private / Consortium blockchain with controlled validators, optimized for enterprise use cases requiring security and performance.

Finality

Deterministic finality via authority consensus, providing immediate transaction confirmation suitable for enterprise applications.

Smart Contract Support

Substrate pallets and EVM-compatible execution layer (Frontier), enabling both native Substrate development and Ethereum tooling compatibility.

Implementation Note: KYMTC Credits are implemented as a native runtime asset, not as an external smart contract token, ensuring lower overhead, predictable execution costs, and tighter control over lifecycle rules.

Token Standard and Runtime Integration

Asset Type

Native runtime token (Substrate Balances / Assets pallet), integrated directly into the blockchain runtime for optimal performance.

Divisibility

8 decimals precision, providing sufficient granularity for all platform operations.

Existential Deposit

Accounts must hold at least 10 KMT or receive a "blessing" from a sponsor wallet to exist on-chain.

Transferability

Restricted to ecosystem-approved addresses and contracts, ensuring controlled token flow and compliance.

Programmability

Governed by runtime logic and platform policies, allowing flexible token behavior while maintaining security.

Upgradeability

Runtime-level governance allows controlled parameter updates without chain migration, enabling continuous improvement.

The token is tightly integrated with transaction execution logic, fee abstraction mechanisms, platform service accounting, and validator coordination logic.

Primary Functions

Transaction Execution Unit

Used internally to account for transaction execution costs. Abstracted from end users through platform-managed fee sponsorship, providing Web2-style user experience.

Platform Service Accounting

Metering of internal services including minting, distribution, verification, and access control. Consumption-based accounting model ensures fair resource allocation.

Validator Coordination

Operational balancing between validator nodes, ensuring network stability and efficient resource utilization across the validator set.

Access Gating

Required for specific platform-restricted actions, enabling permission-based workflows and premium operations within the ecosystem.

Fee Abstraction Model

The KYMTC blockchain implements a fee abstraction layer to eliminate friction for end users. This model enables Web2-style UX while maintaining blockchain security and decentralization.

End users interact using fiat or supported cryptocurrencies, without needing to understand blockchain mechanics.

Platform-level accounts sponsor blockchain execution, handling all technical complexity behind the scenes.

KYMTC Credits are consumed internally at the protocol level, transparent to end users.

Users are not required to hold or manage KYMTC Credits, enabling enterprise onboarding and compliance-friendly payment flows.

Supply Management Model

KYMTC Credits operate under a controlled supply regime defined at the runtime level. Supply adjustments are operational, not market-driven, and exist solely to maintain network throughput, platform liquidity, and internal accounting efficiency.

Initial Supply

Defined at genesis, establishing the foundation for platform operations.

Supply Expansion

Governed by protocol-level rules and governance decisions, ensuring controlled growth aligned with platform needs.

Minting Authority

Restricted to protocol governance, preventing unauthorized supply increases.

Burning

Optional, parameterized, and non-essential to system operation. Used for specific operational requirements when needed.

Important: There is no dependency on artificial scarcity for value accrual. Value derives from platform utility and operational necessity, not price appreciation.

Validator Economics and Network Sustainability

Validator nodes do not rely on KYMTC Credits as a speculative reward mechanism. Validators are operated by KYMTC core infrastructure, approved equity or institutional partners, with incentives aligned with corporate equity participation and long-term platform success.

Validator Operations

KYMTC Credits are used as coordination units, not as primary profit drivers for validators. When required, validators may rebalance internal credit pools, maintain operational liquidity, and participate in governance signaling.

Governance and Control

Governance Model

Permissioned on-chain governance with KYMTC core entity and approved authorities as participants.

Scope of Governance

Supply parameters, runtime upgrades, validator set management, and operational thresholds. All governance actions are recorded on-chain and auditable.

Interoperability and Extensibility

Designed for compatibility with Polkadot ecosystem standards. Future support for XCM messaging, cross-chain asset representation, and controlled bridges to external networks.

Interoperability is explicitly permissioned and not automatic, ensuring security and compliance while enabling controlled cross-chain interactions.

Economic Philosophy

KYMTC Credits are engineered as a utility abstraction layer, an internal execution resource, and a platform coordination instrument. They are not optimized for open market speculation, monetary substitution, or external liquidity dependence.

Their value derives from platform utility and operational necessity, not price appreciation. This design ensures stable, predictable platform operations while maintaining the flexibility needed for enterprise applications.
